Interested in becoming a volunteer? Join up today!
By joining as a volunteer at Marine Rescue Batemans Bay, you'll join more than 3,000 professionally trained volunteers who are committed to saving lives on the water. You'll be part of a growing, vibrant organisation providing vital safety services to the NSW boating community.
Members must be aged 16 years or older. If you already have some boating skills, that's great. If not, we can teach you everything you'll need to know from the water up, including getting your NSW Maritime Boating Licence, First Aid training and your Marine Radio Operator's Certificate of Proficiency.
Marine Rescue NSW occupies a position of great trust in the NSW community. For this reason, all applicants are required to undergo a National Criminal History Record Check (CrimTrac) before they are offered membership. The existence of a criminal record will not necessarily disqualify you from membership and each case is treated on its merits. The forms will be provided to you by your Unit when you apply to become a Provisional Member.
